The java core libraries are keep growing day by day. Sun developers use have unique name for the each release. This might be a project name for the internal purpose.

  • Kestrel (1.3),
  • Merlin (1.4),
  • Tiger (5.0),
  • Mustang (6),
  • Dolphin (7)
